Gardeny stuff

Since it's spring, I've been outside a lot.  The artichokes came up beautifully again this year.  I noticed that they were covered in bees and flies, so of course I Googled it. Seems that aphids are really fond of artichoke plants. I've had issues in the past with them, but didn't know it was a chronic issues.  I was going to buy some insecticidal soap but I noticed there were a couple of lady bugs investigating the situation, so I left them to do their thing.  And man, are they doing their thing.

I'm pretty pleased with the lady bug turnout. They should handle the aphids quite nicely.
