October
October came and went in a whirlwind of two family visits, a couple of weddings, eleven days of the flu, two (flu unrelated) doctor appointments, several extra work shifts, frantic costume making, a 5k and a completely unnecessary trip to the ER. Several projects and jobs went unfinished and to my surprise, the world didn't stop turning. I even turned down a quilt job and was amazed at the freedom I found in the word "no".
Things I learned in October:
Know the difference between "urgent" and "important".
Always keep an emergency meal or two (or 11) in the freezer/pantry
The world will not stop if you say "no"
Life is too short to not wear a costume on Halloween
AMC needs to return to it's "31 Days of Horror" situation instead of just 12 days
I should hang out with my family more. They're pretty great.
